Does not work right out of the box. Internal wiring has been shorted. I found this out after spending time troubleshooting ports that were actually working. Not impressed with QAQC company

I thought maybe I'd get lucky and get a working one unlike some other reviewers. nope It didn't work at all. At least I can return it for a refund.

I'm using this loopback tester to give the ethernet port a bearer so the status becomes 'on'. Not only that, but I expect the connection speed to be 1Gbps as advertised. I tried this on 3 different Intel NICs: I350, X540-AT2 and X722/577. The I350 supports speeds of 10/100/1000, but with this tester it only connects at 100 Mbps. The other two cards are 10G BaseT and they will not connect below 1 Gbps, so this tester was unable to determine the port status on the last two cards. I bought 2 of…

No cable, not even through. A complete waste of my precious time. Pinout confirmed, just lousy quality control. Obviously their robots or minions can't figure out how to hit.

I bought this tester to see if I have an ethernet port that isn't working. I assumed the device would catch fire if it worked. It has no light so I still don't know if the port is active or not.

I think it should glow when plugged into a working ethernet jack/port. I tested it on a port that I know works and nothing. money thrown away. Revain: Give us a chance to rate something without stars! It doesn't deserve a single star.
