I've been using these shows for about 20 years, I like them because they're quite durable and have a wide fit. Over the years New Balance have skimped on some design elements, which was bad considering the price of the shoe, but it looks like they have discontinued the model and replaced it with a similar one that didn't fit me. like original.

It fits like a glove, just right. It's very comfortable and appears to be well made. The fact that these hiking shoes were made in Vietnam didn't bother me at all. I was hesitant to order because I was exchanging a 6th grade hiker shoe for a 9th grade hiker shoe, also it was a 10E and I changed it to a 10 Wide (I wasn't sure if it was the same size) . Well, it fits well and, by the way, was immediately wearable without a break-in period. It's a bit pricey but I think you get what you pay for.

I love this shoe for the comfort and support it offers. I especially appreciate having a roller under the boot that helps with walking by relieving pain. To be honest the only thing I could wish for is the price as I find it a bit overpriced. Overall a great shoe for work where I use it for long walks.

We bought these for my husband and received a defective pair. There is a bulge on the sole, which is totally uncomfortable and painful for my husband. He has several of these pairs and has never had a problem. eBay won't do anything about it.

Basically, I like these shoes. Ordered wide. They sent 2E correctly but it seemed like 1.5E was perfect. The shoes are also a bit stiffer than I like. They look and feel like dress shoes, but a slightly more casual look would have made them better (they're New Balance, after all).

I ordered them in size XX which used to be 4E. Now their website shows the XX width as 6E. In the meantime I have ordered another pair of NB shoes and settled on the XXX width which some say is now a 6E. The site doesn't even list XXX, so how do I deal with that? This is my third pair of New Balance V3s. They have both a roomy toe box (if that's the right term!) and room for doctor-prescribed orthotics. And the price is reasonable considering how long mine lasted.

I bought this pair of shoes after looking at the high reviews on ebay but was very disappointed after trying them on. The shoes are uncomfortable, inflexible and not light. I felt tired in my legs after wearing them all day. In the end I returned.

Hiking shoes should give me the feeling of walking on clouds. These shoes have a hard sole that gives the impression that you are walking in dress shoes, although the insole is still padded. Otherwise the shoes are good. If you have foot/joint problems these may be suitable for you.

I bought these to replace the 990s I wore for years but they have been discontinued. Not so good. You don't look so good. Not that convenient. But overall a decent shoe. I won't buy them again but I will wear them until it's time for the next pair.

I've been wearing New Balance 928's for over 20 years. I have always bought direct from New Balance or one of their stores. These shoes fit terribly. Almost like seconds. One shoe fits well and I take off the other. But since I wore them, they are non-refundable. Lesson learned.

Very comfortable and true to size. I have very wide legs but not super long. These shoes are 6e wide. Comfortable shoes out of the box.

A size 8.5 usually fits me in most shoes, but this shoe turned out to be too tight. The outsole also felt pretty flat - after it hit the heel, the rest of the shoe seemed to smack to the ground.
