Nice sneakers for big boys

I bought these for my husband who is 6ft 3" and weighs 280lbs. It's always difficult for him to find good, supportive shoes, especially shoes designed for training. Of all the brands and styles he has tried so far, these were his favorite shoes! They give it excellent cushioning and support and also come in large sizes, which isn't always the case. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pair of comfortable yet high-performing running shoes!

Firm cushioning on Athletic

I am a huge Hoka fan and own many Bondi pairs. I was looking for an alternative to Bondi just to have something different and they just didn't fit. Ankle collar compresses when you bend your ankle, ankle brace doesn't hold your ankle well. The uppers feel a little less plush than the Hoka, and believe it or not, the padding isn't as plush or marshmallow as you might think, even with the high stack height.

Better than Hoka, best in road running

I've been wearing Hoka Bondi for two years and I didn't like that I always felt my heels stuck under my foot. I found her very unstable. These New Balances make me feel like I could make lateral movements if I wanted to and still retain the same light and comfortable feel as the Bondi. My forefoot pain hasn't returned since the switch, so I believe they work in the same way to relieve the forefoot. In my opinion these are the best shoes for walking and running.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Very expensive

Longevity well below expectations

I have previously purchased New Balance running shoes (believed to be made in the USA) very comfortable and comfortable. After four months the soles were completely worn out. I then bought another pair with a different sole pattern, same price ($180) but different shoes; Sole worn out after 5 months of use?! These are not my only shoes, I alternate between 3 different pairs, but they are the most comfortable. Unfortunately I cannot recommend anyone to buy them as they do not last long and are…

You ruined a favorite shoe

Love the first version of this shoe and the look of this second version but they changed the back of the shoe so the healing material is very hard and stiff. Worse, they made two large bulges on the inside on each side of the heel which I believe are to prevent the heel from slipping off. They started blistering me by walking around my bedroom for two minutes while I tried them on. I had no problem with heel slippage in the first version, so I have no idea why they ruined this beautiful and…

Soles wear out after 200 miles of walking

I mostly walk sidewalks and do a few trips to state parks on weekends. I bought these shoes about 60 days ago. Considering the price, I am completely disappointed in the quality of the outsole on this shoe. There is no doubt that this shoe is comfortable and I can't say I didn't like it. However, I expected at least twice the mileage from these expensive boots. Unfortunately you can't change these shoes every 3 months - at least for me. In my case, this shoe was NOT at all an example of "you…

I expected more from $160 shoes

I am a longtime New Balance devotee and currently wear the 1540v2. Everything I could find about this shoe says it is true to size. May be . But it was very tight. I know putting some spacing in it would cause bubbles. The interior was also disappointing. There was an odd bump sewn into the healing that would also hurt. They didn't seem to have finished laying the insulation, and the upper looked like it might rip if you had a sharp toenail. I liked the look and feel of the floor. Lots of…
