I bought these because I have a pair of NB 978's (or their predecessor) that I bought in the mid 1990's and I still wear them today. A very comfortable pair of walking/work shoes. These new shoes are 11W but run one size smaller and are very narrow especially in the toe area. At worst, they rub a blister on their big toe.
