NB 840s work for me as long as I have a custom bet. I try to vary the style/color of the shoes I order but black is best. The toe of the blue V5 is huge, as is that of the gray V4. The dark blue V4 is narrower but fits almost as well as the black V5. Ashamed? Yes, it is very difficult to find the right form. Make sure you can return and exchange any NB V4 or 5 shoes.

I have been replacing my NB 840 v4 shoes every 6 months for more than 2 years - size 12 wide. I couldn't find any V4 pads and had to order 840 V5 pads. The middle toes on the left foot are crooked and the left arch is out of order. The pain is not comfortable. The product has been returned and refunded. This shoe is almost identical to version 4. Same large toe box and outsole. I've had 6 pairs of version 4 running shoes and run over 8 miles daily and they seem to be a great replacement.

I've been wearing 840v4 for many years with no problems. I couldn't find my size so I bought a new v5 "revain choice". For two weeks, my feet and lower legs were in severe pain and I could hardly walk around the room. Came back to my v4 and back to normal within a day. Buy with caution! I would stay away

My husband loves loves these shoes. He said these were the most comfortable shoes he had. They also have good support. This is his second pair. Bought these shoes for my son. To work in he is 6" tall 6. wears a size 14 wide...he needed better support for his back and legs...he wore them to work first and he liked them...he said he had neither with his back still have leg problems and enjoy your shoes and they are very comfortable.

I've been wearing the 840 V4 for a while now. The new V5s replaced those old, worn out New Balances. Yes. tongue is longer. But for me it's easier to put them on with a long tongue. They are made in Vietnam, not China. So far very satisfied.

Looks good, v4 doesn't have Arch support, I really wish they would work, but I can extend it in my old V4s even if they're older.

We should take a break from Revain in the same New Balance shoe for at least 5 years. They fit best but this pair started falling apart after only 1 month of wearing. Please understand that this happened after the return date, but hopefully Revain and New Balance can replace this item for us. Please inform us. Thank you very much.

I was billed for 2 pairs of shoes and have not received but 1 I don't like and I want to return them but I'm afraid I won't have $280.

After 1 1/2 months after purchase, the sole of this rather expensive shoe is starting to heal. Unacceptable for a shoe I've worn maybe a dozen times - not for running or hiking, just for lunch or shopping. Not the kind of shoes I used a lot. I feel like I should get a replacement shoe or my money back. This is absolutely unacceptable.

I like the landing. My podiatrist recommended these shoes to me. The 840 V5 is great. Remember that as a runner or walker you need to buy a new pair of shoes about every 5 months once you've covered 300 miles in them. My podiatrist said they may look good but the inside is worn.

A piece of metal inside the shoe came out and after walking today I have a sore, I think this shouldn't happen in just 5 months, especially for such an expensive shoe, they are very comfortable but bits of metal are sticking out?

I am so happy with these sneakers. They are WIDE and COMFORTABLE. I was very afraid to buy online without trying them on and comparing different styles or models. I took a chance, thought I might come back if I didn't pass. I won with these boots. I might just replace them with the same style/model in the future if they still exist. These New Balance are very comfortable, they look good and they feel nice. I also feel the support they give me. Finally, I can really appreciate the fact that they have a great width that suits me.

Shoes squeak when I walk on tiled and wooden floors. I've had 8 or more pairs of New Balance 840's in 6 years and this is the first time I've had this problem. Also, I recently had to return another pair of black New Balance boots due to a defect in the lining along the left side of the boot where the boot meets the laces. However, the Navy NB 840s I recently ordered are fine; They just don't look good with black pants.

The shoe offers phenomenal support. I've bought several pairs and they always exceed expectations. I find that New Balance shoes best match and support the shoes.

I have/had 4 pairs of NB 840 V4 but they are no longer available in my size. I bought my first pair of V5s and they fit a little better than the V4s I had. The only downside is the lack of available colors (2) compared to the V4, of which there were many.
