I wore v3, v4 and now v5. I started walking in v5 for the same distance (time and number of steps) as in v4 and my feet started to hurt. I switched to other shoes (hiking shoes) and my feet started to get better. I actually went to the orthopedist because my feet hurt and I brought these shoes thinking that the problem was with these shoes. The orthopedist did an ultrasound of the foot and found a minor injury. He looked at the shoes and found nothing unusual about them. He suggested Votaren 4 times a day which I did for a week and my legs got better. Then I went hiking and wore hiking shoes the whole time and had no problems with my feet. After the holidays I started running again on the 840 V5 and the same foot problem came back. After trial and error in changing shoes, I am certain that these 840 V5 shoes are the root cause of my foot pain. Just looking at the shoe, bending it, manipulating it, comparing the insoles to the 840 V4 insoles, I can't tell how they differ, but I don't wear these shoes anymore. The sole doesn't have much wear but there is pain at the bottom of my performance. I have to be up for a while.
