Works best in power door lock

The driver's door lock did not electronically lock on my 2002 GMC Sierra. He just seemed weak and exhausted. Put that bad boy in there and it works great. Enough power to get the job done.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • boring packaging

Item description was wrong

When I ordered this item the description said it would fit my 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500. When I started unpacking, I quickly realized that it didn't fit. I have returned the item.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Out Of Style

Perfect fit - engines

The goods were delivered a day earlier. The product was better quality than OEM. Installed on a 2003 Chevy Tahoe Z71. Fits perfectly. Excellent quality. Dealer price $300, auto parts store should have ordered but cost $175. Big discount on Revain.

Pros
  • trial period for one year
Cons

Works like the OEM, best parts

Anyone with little mechanical skill can replace this part in under an hour and save hundreds of dollars compared to going to the shop. This part was identical to the OEM part that failed on my 2004 Silverado and fixed the RAP disable for the radio.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Useless features

It works in 06 Silverado 2500hd

Well I just installed this door lock on my 06 Silverado 2500hd. As long as it works like new, we'll see. The original worked until last year when the truck started yelling at me that the driver's door was open when it wasn't. Let's see if it lasts another 15 years.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • No

Good part for the price.

Can't comment on the durability of the device at this time, but it works well and seems to generate a little more traction than the device it replaced. Seems like a good deal for the price considering the OEM is around $150. Let's face it, the OEM was also made in China, so I didn't just downgrade my Chevy with cheap Chinese parts.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Ok

Not bad to install but seems to work great.

Fairly easy to install and once installed performs the same as the original. The exchange took about 45 minutes. I had to deduct a star because of a funny little grinding noise at the end of each cycle. Not scary, but noticeable. I will keep this in mind for future updates if needed. I wish the passenger side was also offered.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Fixed an issue where my radio stayed on when the door was opened.

I was investigating an issue where the radio stayed on when the door was opened but the interior light would not come on. I was surprised to find the door opener button was in the lock. I used my factory manual and the internet to figure out how to replace it. It was quite difficult but I got the job done in about two hours. Then I got angry when it didn't work! He seemed out of touch. I removed it and found that I had bent a pin on one of the connectors. COMPLETELY my fault. My 70 year old…

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
