It really holds up the carpet and they are 100% right when they say it doesn't leave a mark. However, instead of leaving a mark, it took a piece of my hardwood floor with it when it was removed. DO NOT purchase this product if you ever plan on removing tape from wooden floors. SMS

Works great! I've had so many problems getting my rug to hold up since I put it on top of another rug. I've tried other adhesives with no success, but this tape works great! My dog is very active, running and jumping around the living room. The carpet didn't move at all!

This sticks to your carpet and won't move but when I had to move the carpet and grab the tape it tore the top layer of my laminate floor. I'm renting so if I move house I'll have to pay for any damage to the floor. I recommend this product for laminate floors.

This is a very sticky substance and there is a lot of it. Besides using it under carpets and rugs I find other uses for double sided tape all the time - just today I used it to stick a wall calendar to a closet door and I wrapped it around a screwdriver to pry the plastic out. I recently installed a low pile carpet to lay out my oriental rugs on. One of them was a runner. I quickly noticed that simply walking on carpets makes them noticeably slippery. I received carpet tape and after reading many reviews I was a bit skeptical that it would damage my carpet or rugs. My decorative rugs are securely in place, and after vacuuming and walking around everyone, they didn't budge. I bought this product - for its intended purpose - I was looking for a way to stick hallway rugs to hardwood floors as my cat likes to break through and uses them to rule. resulting in a crowd at the end of the corridors.
