Description of 🧺 Enhanced Absorbent PIG237

Formable socks hug walls, corners, machine bases and other equipment to contain leaks and absorb puddles. Contained corncob filler pulls liquids from the floor for maximum absorbency while making cleanup quick and easy. Polypropylene skin resists tearing; reduces dust and holds in liquid, even when saturated. Absorbs and retains oils, coolants, solvents and water to help keep workers safe. Lightweight sock is designed to quickly absorb and retain water (not recommended for diking large volumes of liquid).

It worked great, just not for my purpose.

I had a water leak in my basement where the wall meets the floor. After it rained too much and the water had to be siphoned off, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately they didn't work for my purpose. They weren't fully absorbed (only half the tube was wet) and water was still seeping underneath. They really didn't matter. Of course, for small slow leaks, this worked and the leaks didn't increase. But for areas with more severe leaks, they didn't fare very well. But I still gave them 4 stars

  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Can't remember

Small capacity, long drying time, smelly dirt

Small capacity, long drying time. They fill up much quicker than I expected resulting in a big ugly mess of muddy litter filled puddles on the balcony. and some small flower pots. After just one 2-gallon watering in a 4-foot (L) x 14-inch (H) x 12-inch (W) pot, each pig sucked up so much water, so quickly, that it spilled onto the balcony a stinky one Mess. Have tried hanging them out to dry and so far it has taken over 2 sunny days. Also, they dripped like crazy when I picked them up to dry…

Pros
  • Leakage control accessories
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

I think they seem to work

I'm giving three stars because they seem to work. I mean - they absorb some water. I have water that is leaking out VERY slowly in my basement so I was hoping to get it under control when it happens. I've found that they stop the water they encounter, but they don't really take on much water. They got boggy very quickly. I was able to hang them up to dry but the instructions say they took about 12 days to dry. They remain quite nasty - the water that goes into my basement is pretty clear, but…
