Ordered this to power the flex shaft on my port cargo. Required to reduce engine speed from 15,000 rpm to 5,000 rpm or less. This knob made little difference at the lowest speed setting. The motor continues to run at almost maximum speed. Completely useless to me. Very disappointing. Will return.

Almost every day I use carbide bits in a two-handed tool that looks like a large Dremel. These tools are designed for industrial construction (mainly piping) and have only one ON/OFF switch. Probably over 10,000 rpm. I should have bought one of these a long time ago. Now I can slow down and avoid vibration and clipping (especially with plastic). I don't know if this item is defective or not. it works very well from low to medium to high. But if I shift high to medium or low. Apparently the controller is not working. It's still in high mode. he can't go back. it is strange.! I'll try again. When I set it to low mode it works very well. Then I set it to medium mode. The controller increases the speed. Then I set it to high mode. It increases speed. it works fine but when i turn the knob back to medium mode it's still in high mode nothing
