Camber is controlled by four tiny pins that wear out easily.

Outsole design issues. Studs under the outsole control this shoe's fall and wear out easily on the street. This means that as the pins wear down, the shoe will fall more and more. Under the sole of the shoe, in the forefoot area, there are only four pins.

Pros
  • Offering excellent value for money, offering runners a premium level of performance at an affordable price.
Cons
  • Shoe branding too flashy

Wrong shoe model and color (should have gravity but move)

I ordered red and got green. I ordered Gravity and received Motion. I had Motion a few years ago and found I liked Gravity better, but Motion works well. Most Newton shoes are pretty good for my running style, which lands on the forefoot and less on the heel. Can't give 5 stars. Not Revain's fault, it's a third party company who should have contacted me or Revain if they didn't stock my color and size.

Pros
  • Good experience
Cons
  • They are not suitable for different landscapes.

Amazing to run / just poor general seam quality

I love walking in these shoes! When I took the shoes out of the box, I was concerned that the fabric on the shoe's tongue was not sewn on properly. For the price I paid for it I feel cheated. In general, the shoes are also very light and comfortable. I would buy them again even after the product quality problem.

Pros
  • Always alternate newtons with the lowest hawks. These are great shoes.
Cons
  • Toe is too narrow

Fit changed from previous versions: smaller

Newton makes great shoes. I have Motion 3 and 5. They fit me perfectly and have taught me not to need big shoes that are too tight. They even worked for a small bunion I have on one leg. But the Motion 7 is a pretty noticeable change in fit: tighter, especially in the forefoot. I can't wear them, at least not in the same size as my last two pairs. They bind and bend that bursitis in a whole new way that previous generations haven't done.

Pros
  • good with my orthopedic insoles when i walk and run pain free i am 5'10 240
Cons
  • Tongue tends to slip off

Great shoes, my verdict

The Newton sneaker line is my favorite. I have a pair of Kismet 4 and chose this shoe from the Fate 4. Same great quality and fit I've come to expect from the Newton brand.

Pros
  • Great shoes. As with any couple, my wife loves them.
Cons
  • Design is not stylish

Great fit, great shoes!

This is my second pair of Newton Gravity 7s. I bought another pair in January and was so excited to run them that I decided to get another pair in a different color. I've used the Kismet three times in the past but wanted to try a more neutral shoe with the Gravity 7. If you're looking for a lightweight shoe that gives you a great run, try the Newton Gravity 7.

Pros
  • The best minimalist shoe on the market, IMHO!
Cons
  • Shoes don't have enough cushioning

I really love Newton shoes

I love Newton shoes! I had another pair of Newtons but in a different style. I liked my originals a little better than these; I'm starting to like this style. The only thing I don't like is the feeling that the heel will fall out. I use them as running shoes and my heels have never come out.

Pros
  • Excellent running shoes. Has served me many miles! Ideal for long races
Cons
  • They are not as breathable as advertised

Great for running in my rating.

Nice upgrade from my old Newton Aha 2. Love the lacing system, the shoe is light, comfortable, breathable and very responsive.

Pros
  • They are wider at the top than the previous version.
Cons
  • They are not suitable for people with overpronation.

Great running shoes

These are great shoes. They are comfortable and durable. I've been running at Newton for a few years now and this is the best shoe I've found for my heavy heel landing.

Pros
  • The unique drive system improves step efficiency and promotes a faster running speed.
Cons
  • They don't provide enough support for people with high arches.

Bring back VI and earlier models! Changes from VII are not good.

Previous Newton Motion models have been amazing. You changed my running life! I mean they really did it. VII is very different and it's hard and painful for me to run long distances. PLEASE, NEWTON, could you return the Newton 6! I would pay for practically anything. I have one VP left and I'm afraid to use it because when it's done I won't have a good running shoe.

Pros
  • I have driven this model for over 10 years. Great shoe, but maybe not for everyone.
Cons
  • Shoes squeak with every step

Newton is the way!

This is my fourth Newton Motion shoe and I have enjoyed it for many years. They change them up a bit and have always worked well for me.

Pros
  • An innovative cushioning system absorbs shock and reduces shock for a smoother ride.
Cons
  • They cause pain in the legs after prolonged use.

In my opinion, the heel wears out quickly

I've been using Newton Gravity for generations now. Very comfortable. The main disadvantage is the rapid wear of the heel. Extra thick lugs under the balls of your feet last a long time. But unfortunately the hard part of the heel is too thin and will definitely wear out. After learning to walk more on the ball of my foot, the back of the heel was almost completely intact. Unfortunately, the sides of the heel wear out quickly.

Pros
  • The stylish bright red design is perfect for any runner looking to make a statement.
Cons
  • Lining not comfortable
