Distance Elite Newton Running Shoes Review

I love Newton sneakers. It helps me with my posture when running. I've been on the road for about 4 years now and drive quite often. Fits me exactly like previous Newton Motion models. The only downside is that the shoes are really incredibly expensive.

I already had a pair of Newtons and as with all of their shoes, the cleat system under the ball of the foot emphasizes proper foot placement and minimizes heel strikes, which is a constant concern for me. These shoes are very well made and very comfortable from the start. The toe part is dense in size, but the design and material are elastic enough, so they won't cause any discomfort. I've always run in regular running shoes, not because of overpronation. The description of this shoe states that it is designed for pronation control. Bought for price and color. I also really like running in Newton. So I wasn't sure if I would keep the shoes but they fit and perform as usual.

I love these shoes. They fit well and are very comfortable to walk in! This is my first time running in Newton and they are definitely my favorites.

I bought them as an alternative to Brooks Beast. I've been running in the Beast for a couple of years now, it's a great shoe but I wanted something lighter and less bulky that still offered great support - the Newton Men's Motion 7 didn't disappoint. Great shoe, great support, lightweight and not bulky. I only wish I had another color option or two.

Why a manufacturer can't be uniform when it comes to shoe sizes is beyond me. I've been running at Newtons for 6-7 years now and it's always a gamble - they've done it again! If you have an older model (2+ years), go up half a size.

The shoes feel great and are responsive. Not to mention that they look amazing and give at least +20hp. I have wide feet and was initially concerned about the fit but they are perfect. The oversized rubber pads on the shoe's pads are a bit unfamiliar, but they fit and improve the fit for me. Overall great shoes. I will buy again.

I don't know where this couple came from, but this version of Newton's fate was terrible. After only a few weeks of wear, the stitching on the front of the toe on one boot came undone and eventually came undone on the other. Very disappointed in these shoes!

My other shoe was Newton and I switched to Adidas Ultra Boost Parley, used it 3 times and no more, went back to Newton VII, nice and comfortable, exceeded my expectations and hit the streets now.

This is my first pair of Newtons. I was nervous about the protrusions in the forefoot. Although the feeling is definitely different, I'm used to it and love these shoes a lot. They are very light and well ventilated. So far the longest run I've done has been 10 miles. No problem with leg pain or hot spots.

I have arthritis in my feet and need extra arch support. This is a great running shoe and this is my second purchase as I was very happy with the performance of the shoe.

first time on easy 8 mile walk. No blisters. The slight increase in the ball of the foot definitely helped protect the toes from digging and working while walking.

looks good and true to the description but after 2 months of use the bottom sole fell apart. I was lucky not to break my face or head, I just fell running on soft ground.

I really love Newton shoes but was disappointed when the shoes I received were badly worn and not the Motion 7 I bought from the Revain store. Attention buyers.

So what if you're a minimalist runner but can't wear those minimalist 4mm uncushioned running shoes on the concrete or asphalt you run on? That is the answer. I tried very hard to go all the way to a full minimum run in flats with almost zero cushioning and spent over 2 years with Newton making a gradual transition from typical cushioned running shoes. I really love Newton! However, the regular retail price is ridiculous. Was very happy to find this pair at a reasonable price. Super fast shipping too! The Newton Motion line is more of a stability shoe and helps me a lot on my runs.

I have ridden Newtons for many years, they get better even as I get older. It's a fast, bouncy running shoe that's still my favorite.

I have a bursitis foot and they are wide enough to walk without causing pain! The ears on the bottom help a lot too! I'm not crazy about the color, it's a bit garish! I would like to have more colors to choose from!

I've worn many, many Newton shoes. They never disappoint. Adding a sole in the forefoot is perfect if you have even the slightest problem (and I do). Two or three miles out of the box - no problem. However, I wish the laces were longer. Otherwise perfect running shoe. Shoes last a long time before they fail, sometimes even for miles on sidewalks.
