🔌 NGK G-Power ZFR5FGP Spark Plug Review

I have switched to NGK platinum spark plugs in all my cars. I've noticed a marked improvement in all of them. The platinum version offers fairly consistent performance and fuel economy over the life of the spark plug.

These plugs made a major change to my 1999 Honda Civic DX. I used candles with German names. They improved starting, idling and acceleration. This is very good value for money. A+

I received the wrong part. Each socket had a sticker with the correct NGK part number but there were Ford branded spark plugs inside. The actual part number is also on the box so it looks like they were just mislabeled but they are non-refundable .

Don't rely on the factory preset gap. I checked the gaps with a wire tool and three of the four required a slight adjustment from .045" or more to .044". Be sure to use a wire break tool, not a coin tool, as you can damage the delicate platinum tip of these spark plugs (see NGK's Spark Plug Gap YouTube video for more information). I replaced my original NGK V-Powers with these and damn they make a difference. I have a GS (not vtec) and the manual recommends NGK V-Power forks but they are by far the best and only fifty cents more expensive. My car's idle speed is higher and it hums and drives a lot more when you give it beans. They actually had gaps already inserted so they could be inserted right out of the box.
