Description of Nicholson Triangular Without American Pattern

Double extra slim, American pattern taper file. Expertly made to effectively file saws with 60° angle teeth. Triangular shape makes accessing tight internal angles and squaring corners a breeze. Single cut construction is ideal for sharpening tools, finish filing, and draw filing. Edges set and cut for filing in the gullets between a saw's teeth. Slight taper in width towards the file's point creates ease of access in slots. Select the right file when filing handsaws for long-lasting performance. Nicholson 6'' double extra slim taper file. and this file is great for sharpening

I bought a Lie Nielsen hardfacing machine and this file is great for sharpening. Delivered quickly on time, received on Sunday!

Pros
  • Choose the right file to sharpen hand saws for long lasting jobs
Cons
  • Some little things

Suitable for sharpening saws

I bought these to sharpen rip and miter saws in the 10-14t/d range. It cuts nice and smooth when the blade is properly attached. The file can get clogged if you don't watch it. Overall, it's just the right size, performance, and price. highlighted.

Pros
  • American Type Double Fine File
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Useless.XX thin files are the same size as X slim

These files are not reliable. First Nicholson, India. Truth? India, a well-known producer of quality files. Second, if you buy them for 11+ ppi files you will be very disappointed as these files are no smaller than my old Nicholson, USA ultrafine files. Longer and with each side EXACTLY the same height as the Thin X-File.

Pros
  • A slight narrowing in width towards the tip of the file makes it easier to access the slots
Cons
  • not secure
