A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.

A good regular lens, optimal for reportage shooting and travel. The picture is very sharp, even without any sharpening in the photo editor, but vignetting is noticeable at an open aperture.Color rendition is natural. Butcompared to better optics, for example, with nikon 80-200 (I have a trombone, a rarity), thecomolness of 24-120 somehow immediately decreases. Trambone gives a much more artistic picture, and even in difficult lighting (for example, when shooting acomncert in a dark room), it…

Pros
  • 1. Sharp 2. Good, tenacious, silent autofocus. 3. High-quality assembly. 4. Convenient range of focal lengths.
Cons
  • Strong vignetting, especially at wide aperture, especially against a uniform background (for example, the sky).

Strong vignetting at the edge of field

Under 28mm zoom I have strong vignetting on the right side of the cornet. It's even hard to tell winnet. It's just black in the corner. However, at 28mm or larger, there is no such problem.

Clear and good color rendering

Pretty sharp. Good color rendering. I had a Nikon 24-85 lens (paired with a Nikon D850) but got it for more "reach". It would be nice not to change lenses so often on tour. I've argued with myself about the lack of warranty on internationally approved lenses, but I've never had a problem with a Nikon lens. At this price point (less than half the cost of the US warranty version - a steal) if I have a problem with it and can't fix it, so be it. I doubt there will be any problems. I'll leave 24-85

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Excellent travel lens for FX and DX cameras

Ever since I bought my Nikon FX camera I've been looking for a mid-weight travel or excursion lens. I've debated whether the Nikon 24-120 F/4G's $1,000 price point makes sense for a US warranty. Saw this lens half price out of warranty in the US and decided to give it a try. The lens arrived within two days. It was packaged in a Nikon gold box with all the extras except the US warranty papers. The lens was brand new and made to the same Nikon quality as my other Nikon lenses which are covered…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky
