I took it as a universal lens on a photo trip. The only advantage is the focal range. Then there are some shortcomings. The trunk began to leave almost immediately. That is, there was not even any kind of looseness. Apparently, that’s why they made a 28mm lock, but I didn’t use it, so as not to waste time once again turning it off and not losing the frame. 90% of the birds shot at 300 mm of this lens immediately went into the trash - the image quality at the long end was so terrible. Pros
  • Focal length range and 5.6 at the long end.
Cons
  • Image quality, retractable trunk.

Overall pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

I bought it as a universal zoom + video shooting. It turned out to be practically unsuitable for video, tk. the zoom ring without a jerk cannot be moved. The stabilizer is some strange cheap, it takes a long time to enter the regime and does not really help. As a universal zoom, I was not impressed. The picture is weak and very dark. Sigma 24-105 / 4 OS Art won it, it is lighter and the picture is better. And if, on comparable apertures, we cut a crop from the center of the sigma by 105mm and…

Pros
  • The weight Versatility
Cons
  • Dark Curved geometry Weak micro-contrast Zoom ring does not rotate smoothly Bad stabilizer
