- Universal!
- Slow, tight.
- Price
- Smears autofocus at the long end
- Fast, strong (little plastic, a lot of iron), bright, sharp, covers a wide range of focal lengths, good both as a portrait lens and as a telephoto lens. Pleasant bokeh, quite comparable to L-kami. In general, I am satisfied with the purchase with some reservations.
- It's a bit heavy though. when I read the descriptions, I thought I'd get used to it :)) By the end of the wedding day, the brush gets tired. I'm even thinking about a monopod. I came across a tight model, before the lens lay freely on my left palm and I rotated it with my fingers - here you have to make a lot of effort (maybe it will be developed again). In the second VR mode "Active" autofocus slows down a bit. And there is also a problem with the minimum distance, sometimes it is poorly induced in the dark on a close object, even with backlight at the short end of F = 28. I did not notice such a "glitch" at large focal lengths :)) There was also a small back-focus problem, which was fixed by fine-tuning the autofocus on the camera itself. I didn’t understand whose camera or lens jamb it was :)) Well, it’s expensive, of course . To Hong Kong from Hong Kong, with a guarantee, delivery, a protective UV filter (77mm) and all bank fees for transferring and a small amount of money, it cost about 40 grand. Separately, I would like to say about the lens hood - somehow I can’t believe that the wise Japanese designed such a blast :)) I start from the fact that it is ugly :)) and sits asymmetrically on the lens, ending with the fact that in the stowed state it almost completely covers the zoom ring (! ) I think it will be finalized with a "file" someday . :))
- Great zoom, sharpness, versatility.
- Nikon's only ultrazoom for full-size cameras, the angle at 300mm corresponds to 200mm of other lenses. A vacuum cleaner.
- An almost indispensable universal travel zoom for a FF carcass: 1) an excellent range of distances from wide without lateral distortion to ultra-long; 2) excellent workmanship - for 2 years there is not a speck of dust or a speck inside; 3) very reliable constructive - sane combination of plastic and metal; 4) almost complete absence of CA; 5) does not catch hares)));
- Strictly speaking, there are none. Especially for this price, if you compare it with a set of 24-70 and 70-200. For me personally, there are small ones: - quite heavy, but everything is clear here and this is not a drawback in its purest form - just take it for granted that replacing the two above will be 1.2 kg heavier; - sometimes there is a back focus, I did not encounter it, but I checked it when buying, and the seller said that there were such copies; - rarely, but the AF motor misses; - in the active VR mode, a slight blurring appears (at the 28th end) and AF becomes thoughtful))).
- The range of focal lengths. Weight and size for FF. optical stabilizer.
- Drop in contrast from 200 mm. Unsuccessful lens hood without a retainer.
- Very solidly assembled, sharp on all open FRs, excellent pattern for universal zoom, tenacious and quiet autofocus, excellent stabilizer, on crop (D7000) the best among cropped 18-200VR (old and new), 55-200VR, 55-300VR, Tamron 18-270VC.
- The disadvantage on the crop is narrow at the short end, noisy at high ISOs (the noise from the lens also depends). 4 copies. I didn’t notice anymore.
- The lens is a complete delight! "MULTIPLE"! When I bought I doubted, the reviews are different . But it exceeded all my expectations. Focus - whatever you want! Cutting! The picture is juicy! Stub works!
- I noticed a strange thing, the stub works better in normal mode, but in "ACTIVE" it's worse, maybe it's just me.
- Solid pontoon look. Excellent stabilizer on all FRs. Cutting. Good colors. full frame
- Until I discovered
- focal length range versatility the weight (!) the trunk does not leave, as in 28-200 lens hood included
- BIG ;) auto focus takes some getting used to still dark, but.
- Dimensions, capabilities - such a zoom is an extremely convenient thing
- Only aperture If you don’t find fault, then the bokeh is good
- Versatility, build quality, design, solidity, speed of work, picture quality, price / quality, in general, some pluses!
- Haven't found in 3 years
- - Range of focal lengths. - Large and massive: with it, small hand tremors are less noticeable. - The autofocus drive allows you to adjust your hands without any switching after autofocusing.
- - The hood in the stowed position covers the zoom ring. - On the D700, the light of the built-in flash is blocked by the body by FR = 28 mm, even without a hood. - The zoom ring is, of course, a bit tight.
