Not much to say here. This works for .

There really isn't much to say here. This works as intended with my bino. There are no complaints about the functionality. So why only 3 stars. PRICE. This is undoubtedly price gouging. Thank you Nikon. This is the case if you want to use this functionality for your binoculars, this is your only option. Either you save money or you can't. That's your decision. You earn $15. They earn $35 each.

A simple solution against shocks

This L-shaped metal element was a pleasant surprise. The tripod adapter fits right into the front screw that holds the two tubes together. Once installed, I leave the adapter on at all times so I can use the binoculars without a tripod mount for general viewing and just the tripod binoculars for night stargazing. So this simple solution really works and works very well. (It's so basic it seemed overpriced, but it's not really a complaint.)

They move whenever you press your eyes against the lenses or grab your sides. It doesn't close tightly and that's probably why they aren't listed on the Nikon website anymore. What they now offer is a case that fits the whole binocular and you attach it with velcro. Maybe this is the best solution but it looked too cumbersome so I went with this one. Happy for the…
