The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

I’m an amateur photographer I don’t carry a mountain of iron on my hump; I prefer d5500 lenses that are light and compact, such as 35mm 1,8 50mm1,8, sometimes I shoot whale 18-55 af-p and 55-200 vr2. I won’t even write about the shortcomings in any the most expensive gadgets find a bunch of them. I’ll write about what I liked in the first picture, the lens is sharp already with an open, excellent detail and color rendition, geometric distortions are slight. And in general, I just like how this…

Pros
  • Nimble lightweight compact sharp there is a stabilizer
Cons
  • For me no

Excellent wide angle lens from Nikon

I am using this new lens on a Nikon D5300 with the latest firmware update and everything works fine. When connected to a D5300 camera, a new menu appears that controls VR from the camera as there are no physical switches on the lens itself. I like it because it has Vibration Reduction (VR) so photos appear crisp when held in hand. It's also lightweight, quiet, and has fast focusing. Photos look good. It's a useful lens indoors for capturing everything in the room, and outdoors for deep and wide

Good value for money Nikon wide angle lens

Although I love to take pictures I don't spend thousands on my gear, I look for reasonable prices that allow me to do what I love. I started with the Nikon D40 and then switched to the D5300 with 18-55 and 55-200 kit lenses. I love photographing landscapes and have wanted a wide angle lens for a long time but couldn't justify the cost of the lenses I have. When Nikon announced this DX-format wide-angle lens, I pre-ordered it. I am very happy with it. Image quality is good, although…

I've had this lens for about 2 months now, mainly construction photography, and I'm very happy with the results of the several hundred photos I've taken with it. I have a D5500 crop sensor and shoot a lot indoors for work and play. This 20mm lens is significantly wider than my standard 18-55mm 18 focal length kit lens. So if you are in an environment where backup is not available, this lens is a perfect choice. I have the opportunity to take 2-3 photos instead of 6-7 and put them together. Or…

Good lens for its money.

This review is written from the point of view of a photographer. We are very picky, 5 stars would be very hard to come by. First let me say that for the price it is absolutely worth it! This is a good lens to take fantastic shots with. However, it is limited in design. The next Nikkor lens capable of taking ultra-wide-angle photos costs $900. So I think Nikon has done a great job of making this lens more affordable for more people. So let's proceed with the review. First let me warn you that…

I wasn't thrilled with the product, but it can be used.

At the d5100 itself, I wanted to buy this width for it, climbed onto the official website to read about it and a bummer, it turns out that it is not compatible with almost all cameras, only with new ones, such as d7500, d5600, d3400. There is also a list where it is limited compatible, ie. you need to change the firmware of the camera. On a model three years ago and older, it can no longer be inserted at all

Pros
  • Weight, price
Cons
  • Not compatible with almost all DX cameras

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

I only shoot outdoors with this lens. The mass of the smallest details in one picture, everything that is needed in the frame and even more is included. Random passers-by, caught on the edges of the frame, are a little caricatured - but this is normal for the "width" and more often even a plus: photos with the "correct" geometry have become boring. Pictures with this "width" are interesting, atypical and at the same time quite sharp. Nikon d5600 camera.

Pros
  • Lightweight, compact lens with very fast autofocus, sharp enough: bricks on remote buildings, license plates on cars, leaves on trees are clearly visible in the photo. There is a shadow from the built-in flash in the extreme position - it's not scary, on "16" there is certainly no shadow. I did not notice that "limp". Native lens - a minimum of errors with automatic exposure.
Cons
  • If it's a bit dark, then all the other pluses, and the price compensate for this.

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

An excellent lens for modern Nikon DX cameras, light and compact with good image quality. I'm going to use it for interior shooting, where an open aperture is not really needed, maybe even when traveling. Unfortunately, not all Nikon cameras will be able to work with it. Fully compatible models: D7500, D5600, D5500*, D5300*, D3400, D3300*, D500 and later cameras. Compatible Cameras with Limited Functions: D5, D810 series, Df, D750, D7200, D7100, D5200.

Pros
  • - focal lengths of 10-20mm are very necessary in the Nikon DX system, in terms of coverage I correspond to 15-30mm in full frame - smooth, fast, quiet autofocus - compact design and light weight - sharp rendering of all parts of the frame - distortions can be corrected directly on the camera (when shooting in JPG), well, or as usual in the editor, there are profiles - vibration suppression system (VR) - not high price
Cons
  • - probably a plastic bayonet
