A tough unit. Best in Camera & Photo

Exactly what you would expect from Nikon. Flawless fit and finish with crystal clear optics. The compass is clear, well lit, sensitive and easy to read. If you're going where your gear means your life, this is for you.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • High price

Good quality, good value for money

Nice, sturdy set of waterproof cases with Nikon optics at a very competitive price. Mine came complete with a padded carry case and flotation harness. If you really think you can drop them in the water, you need a flotation harness.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Functionality

Returned immediately

Compass and reticle were often blurred when the binoculars were sharp. The overnight accommodations were pretty decent. I ended up spending a lot more money and not getting a compass, instead piloting the boat at night, the brighter and sharper the better.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Exchange Availability

Bright and durable in camera & photo

A few days later I fell in love with these binoculars. The magnification seems reasonable for boating: not too high (to minimize image shake) but strong enough to really help identify buoy numbers etc. I'm used to using my high quality compact binoculars for travel so maybe I'm just used to a dimmer image but I was blown away by the brightness and clarity of the image in these binoculars. Center focusing is also very soft. A side note: the lens end caps (attached) are very handy, but it would…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
