Does what it should!

I was afraid that the weight of my phone would cause the car to move if I hit a bump. This hasn't happened in a few months of use. If I'm on a very bumpy road or hit a huge bump my phone would fall, but it never moved my car. My only "complaint" is that I prefer to hold my phone higher and closer to the windshield so I don't have to look away as often when looking at a map.

Good idea, poorly finished product

Easy installation. But I can understand some of the complaints about the plastic screw on the metal ball. Not sure why the ball doesn't have grooves or something to hold the shifter in the locked position? I like it and the look but it feels a little cheap despite being cheap; So you get what you pay for. But the worst thing is the magnet you attach to your phone. Clay is complete bullshit. The magnet is strong! Holds my phone in place with no problems until the adhesive separates and my phone…

A Must Have For Every Fight - Prius

If you thought your Prius couldn't get any worse, think again! This is the coolest phone mount ever. Keeps your phone away from prying eyes and also within easy reach when your hand rests on the armrest. Who cares if you can't see the shift pattern anymore? This is a Prius. Seriously, what are you translating? A thin metal disk sticks to your phone or case. Or in my case (pun intended) I put the disc on my phone under the case so I couldn't see it. That ugly, sex-toy-like old gear knob from…

Great idea until your phone starts spinning.

Love how this mount places your phone, this part is great. The problem is I had trouble unscrewing this thing. I've tightened the sphere and base properly, although over time the sphere will wear down the surrounding plastic somewhat, making it a bit pliable. plastic base. Basically, the rubber seal just spins around on me. It can be tightened, it screws and turns. A threadlocker can be applied to the screw and the screw will begin to rotate in the plastic base. In general, I like the concept…

Put a magnet on the case to keep it from spinning.

I don't often write reviews as I don't have much to add but I just LOVE this Nimbus mount. My only wish is that they have one for my Sienna. To answer one of the questions, does it rotate? After a week or so, mine was spinning a bit and I was getting scared. Was SO disappointed. But after thinking about it, I started mounting it so that the top half of the phone was on the mount (i.e. heavier than the bottom). Gravity helps hold it in place, so advice to the wise: don't stick a magnet in the…

Nice concept but the magnets aren't strong enough for big phones

I have a kitchen scale so I measured the weight of my phone, the case and the rectangular metal plate that came with it. Phone = 167g (Pixel 4a 5G), Case (Crave Base Case): 42g, Plate = 7g. Total phone weight = 167 + 42 + 7 = 216 g (7.6 oz). This is too much to hold the magnets securely. The phone "slips" over time and it fell as I crossed railroad tracks. Overall I love this concept, but I don't like worrying about my phone slipping or falling. I neither need nor want this distraction when…

Some quality problems, but generally works

Installation tip: screw the ball firmly into the shifter, then install the bracket and tighten the plastic ring with your fingers, then use the entire bracket to evenly screw the ball more tightly onto the shifter . Loosen the ring on the mount, position as desired, and then remove. This got me almost two extra spins on the ball, eliminating the "wobble" I had from the mount mentioned in other reviews. However, the fastening ring broke after about 4 months (split on one side, completely broken…
