Pros
- Great mobile toy for killing time. Allows the company to play retro games out of the box. There are copies for the console. An interesting implementation with motion control, but not unique, and not applicable everywhere.
Cons
- Expensive games, expensive set-top box with the current exchange rate (23000). Joycons without analog triggers are a disappointment to me as a racing fan. There is not enough built-in memory, you immediately need to buy a microSD card for at least 128GB. Screen scratches from docking station, need protection
Pros
- Convenient, compact, portable, lightweight.
Cons
- The price of games in the store bites, but if you take them on sale, then this minus is leveled, because discounts in the electronic store are often quite large, sometimes you can see 90% on triple-ey games.
Pros
- The console is silent. Here it doesn't make any noise. I know it depends on the scene on the screen and the game, but seriously. This is not a PS or XBOX taking off into space. Feelings are comparable to a good tablet. Doesn't heat up. Same as the point about noise. It all depends on the conditions, but in my case I never noticed when the console could not be held in my hands. Switching between portable and stationary modes is very conveniently implemented - put the console in the dock and you're done (and if the TV supports automatic switching on via hdmi signal, it's a fairy tale in general). A large number of accessories. Cases, screen films, accessories for joy-cons, cardboard VR and even a simulator (Ring-con expander). Good games. Complex and subjective point. In all big N games, there is something that everyone will like. If we talk about third-party developers, everything is also not bad. Yes, there are not a huge number of high-profile AAA projects here. And is it needed? Arcade games aimed at simplicity and clarity of control are ideal for the portable format. It plays great on the go, in the metro it’s the most - the longest branch will fly by as if unnoticed.
Cons
- The build quality leaves much to be desired. Still, the plastic case is cheaper than the metal one, but the feeling of the product suffers from this. The plastic itself is good, matte, but crickets can be heard because of it. In general - not critical. It's a little heavy for my hands, but fits well. I didn’t compare it with other representatives of the portable, but in general, even here it is possible to lie down in the seal pose, disconnect the joy-cons and, putting the console on the belly / chest (as convenient), lie down and play. The cost of official games. Despite the fact that this is primarily a portable console, prices are at the level of older brothers, if not higher. Yes, no one bothers to hack and play whatever your heart desires, but this is not our case. Small amount of built-in memory. Either one Zelda, and everything else on memory cards, or everything on cartridges (a point about cost).
Pros
- + Large selection of ways to play. You can sit in a chair and play like a good old PSP, you can connect to the TV and play like a regular console, you can buy interesting Nintendo Labo cardboard boxes, can be played by swinging motion-sensing joysticks. you can play alone, you can play with friends on the halves of joycons, either by purchasing another pair, or by connecting another controller. + The concept of a family game console. If you're buying it for a child and don't shy away from electronic toys yourself, there are plenty of games that the whole family can play. + Speaking of other controllers. Those who don't like joycons have a wide choice of peripherals as alternatives. The internet is full of all sorts of controllers that can be connected to the Switch, from the official Nintendo PRO controller to dubious consumer goods from Alik. But that's not all, on the same Internet you can buy a stray through which you can connect even an officially unsupported controller to the Switch. For example, I often play with controller (it works in wireless mode and with gyroscope support). Yes, and in principle, the second pair of joycons for some party games can be connected. + The second revision holds the battery charge for quite a long time, compared to the first. In the "play on the way to / from work" mode, it does not even sag for me by a third, but at home I stick it in the dock and play on the TV. + The docking station and the Switch itself are quite compact and it is easy to find a place for them in the room. + Well, the last plus, which actually follows from the minus (expensive games), the sale of physical copies on the secondary market is quite well developed. Used cartridges are easy to find, at least in Hong Kong, and they usually cost about a mower cheaper than new ones.
Cons
- Ohhhh, that's going to be a big list. - Shop. It's terrible, even to the point where you see the prices. Its interface is very primitive, and if you don't know what specific game you are looking for, but "want to buy something", you will be doomed to hours of fruitless scrolling of loading icons with games. Steam still set the bar very high in this regard. The sections "Popular" and "Skidos" are present, but even in them it is not easy to find something that will hook you. Therefore, it is better to use third-party resources to select games and monitor prices for digital editions. - Prices. The full price of a game on a cartridge is usually 3500-3700, and if you buy a digital version, then, contrary to logic, it costs more: 4500. - Prices again. Yes, two downsides. The second is that unlike other publishers, Nintendo adheres to the policy of "the game does not get worse over time" and does not drop the price of it. Yes, there are discounts, but the full price does not fall, so if you don’t have time, you will have to wait a long time for a tasty price for a digital, and discounts still rarely reach the cost of a used cartridge. - Screen. It's certainly better than the people's previous handheld console, the PSP, but compared to almost any modern smartphone, it's terrible. Low resolution is not so bad, it is also very faded. In daylight, it is simply impossible to play something not bright and colorful, even by unscrewing the backlight to the ceiling. - Ergonomics. More precisely, its absence. Without third-party stray, prolonged play on joycons connected to the Switch turns into torture for your hands, and therefore various ergonomic attachments, or even third-party, thicker joycons, are very popular. - Speaking of joycons. I haven't run into this problem, but their drifting is infamous. It can occur either due to contamination or due to wear of the mechanism for reading the position of the stick. In fact, this is a problem for all controllers, I ran into it again on controller. If you're lucky, it can be repaired by cleaning.
Pros
- Many options for using joysticks Nice screen quality Lots of small games pleasing to the eye There is a stand and the console itself Convenient charging station Beautiful to the point of impossibility
Cons
- Games are expensive for 2022, but the sale is constantly ated (this version already has animal crossing) Do not connect a bluetooth headset (well, or I did not find where to connect wireless headphones)
Pros
- A lot of
Cons
- No
