Works reliably

For switching the input to the headphone amplifier. Works well, no sound quality issues. Doesn't look as cheap as I thought. Maybe a little more than I expected, but the XLR inputs are big. The actual circuit could be better, but more than enough. Happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • One-year trial
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Crosstalk, loud crackling

Very disappointed with this product. When I switch between inputs I get a very loud pop, so this doesn't work as an A/B tester. Also, if there is a loud signal in the Z channel, that signal can be heard in the Y channel. I could use it as an input switch if I'm thinking of turning my amps off first, but will most likely just turn it back on.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Only available in black

Great build quality and performance

This is a great XLR input to output switcher. The build quality is excellent and the controls are clear and smooth. The only wish is that there is a version (albeit more expensive) with latches for XLR cable connectors. I would also like to see a version that switches using a 12v trigger from my stereo.

  • Great price

It's amazing and transparent

This thing is a godsend for home studios. I have several sets of speakers but only one with XLR connections via active subwoofer outputs and since I'm not using a patch panel I needed something to swap the XLR inputs from 3 sources: a large format analogue mixer and 2 8 XLR's. Input USB interfaces. Any recording enthusiast knows you need as many options as possible. This is a simple, efficient and affordable device that allows me to switch connections from 3 sources to one set of speakers.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Quality product arriving from China by slow boat.

We will do, but not durable. It does what it's supposed to do with no glitches or noise. The body is thin and the device is light, but it shouldn't fall apart if not abused. I use it in my home editing kit and have used it several times a day to switch between different nearfield monitors. The switches hold up well and the device is solid overall. Attaching it to a work surface adds to its stability. You can also just put the book on it. In general very satisfied. It's a bit sad that finding…

Perfect work u

I bought it for home theater/2ch music listening. I wanted to be able to switch between a dedicated two-channel amp and a home theater preamp without having to disconnect the XLR cables. This product did it perfectly and most importantly it didn't discolor the sound coming from my preamps and going into my amp. If you're a music lover and serious about sound like me, don't doubt it, it's perfect. Now I'm going to add another one so I can switch which preamp I want to use with which amp. If I…

Simple and effective device, crystal clear signal, phantom power

This little box performs exactly as you'd hope it would. Sound (and phantom power) passes through very cleanly, with no distortion, coloration or signal loss. My studio is near some radio towers (I can clearly hear NPR through some of my guitar pedals), but this unit seems immune to RF interference at all, which was a huge relief. I tested it between a Neumann KM 184 stereo pair and an Apollo Twin interface and it sounded the same as plugging the mics directly into the Apollo Twin. Another…
