Nobsound NS 10P Audio Pre Amplifier Control Review

A very good preamp for vocals, but very limited for music. This preamp sounds thin compared to a real hifi tube preamp. I use it after my mic preamp (Presonus studio channel) to adjust the tone and add tube harmonics. . so it works fine. I switched to an equivalent JAN GE lamp. Amazing product, especially when combined with Nobsound NS-08e seriously! The best part is that on my second use, after taking everything apart, I put it back together to enjoy that amazing sound and the tube fell out of my hand. This tiny preamp really adds warmth and richness to the sound. The build quality is good. Inside you can see a neat circuit board. When I took this little guy out of the box he seemed very well built and sturdy considering how small he is. This little preamp works great between my computer and some basic powered speakers. The tubes only add a bit of gain since this model doesn't have silicon op amps, but that's what I want. Just a little more analog punch en route to the speakers. The bass and treble control is excellent. I got this for different reasons than most I guess. My intention was to experiment with this on the guitar signal in hopes that I could add some "tube voltage" effects to my signal path. I connect a 1/4" to 3.5mm jack from the guitar to this device and then the same cable from the device to my interface. Oh how tired of flat, shapeless music. Like many of you, I have been listening to digital music files, especially MP3 files, for many years. While the sound is good on cheap headphones, these digital files fall short on smaller systems in noisy places, in cars, and on phones, tablets, and laptop speakers on high-end systems.
