It is clear to use the tool to ensure that the tonearm is parallel to the surface of the record. This is the usual starting point for setting up the VTA. Also great for checking cartridge azimuth.

A little difficult to read. This is good for leveling the headshell or tonearm, but it would be more useful if it also had a vertical toe angle scale. And I think a small mirror is better for adjusting azimuth.

I knew my azimuth was a bit off and this tool helped me quickly get it accurate. With today's smartphones, you don't have to worry about getting in the right position with any magnification. Just snap a few shots and zoom in to see the changes you need to make. I would recommend this to anyone who has the ability to adjust the azimuth of their tonearm.
