Great antenna kit for my RTL-SDR! Much better than the flimsy one that came with the kit I originally bought. This had a soldering issue and while I was able to fix it, it still wasn't great. The base that comes with it is very solid and the telescopic antenna can pick up indoor signals about 80km from my house!

I am a beginner. For cheap antennas they do a very good job for me. Telescoping does a great job for FM. I haven't tried many other things. The first 800 band (3 blue bars) works MUCH better with Z-Wave than the previous (cheap) band I bought for this band. I haven't found a use for another. The stand is also very convenient. Yes, I'm sure they're not very good for the very experienced, but for beginners they're very good.

They are not as useful as I had hoped. I thought the base was an SMA jack, but it's actually just a piece of threaded brass. I was hoping to connect them directly to rtl-sdr or my hackrf, but I can only use them through the base, which is particularly undesirable since there is some sort of malfunction in the base due to which the movement of the cables causes loss of reception . If I just wanted something to drive and the base would work I think it would be a great antenna kit.

Probably *one antenna works better above 1GHz and *others below, but I can't say for sure if one is an improvement over the other. Should have read all reviews before ordering. The cable from the base to the device is NOT RG58, NOT 50 ohm, and the connector at the end of the device is junk. Antennas do NOT use SMA so you must use a base. The antennas and socket have different coarse threads and using force to push the antenna onto the SMA can cause damage. For example, do not confuse a whip antenna with 2-3 others that are probably on your bench! I will most likely return them and follow the advice of others not to buy…

Excellent antennas! Definitely superior to the NOOELEC kit included in the NESDR Smart kit, but still far superior to the kit included in the competitor kit.
