According to my experience using this HVAC filter, it's not worth the money. While it may seem like a good investment, I found that it didn't live up to its promises. The filter was difficult to install and didn't effectively improve the air quality in my home. As a hesitant buyer in the Industrial and Scientific category of Filtration products, I would recommend looking into other options before choosing this one.

I am surprised that there is no mention of a MERV rating anywhere on the packaging or filter! They charge you more for a higher MERV rating, but don't you think it's important to mention this somewhere on the product? I wonder if this is a fake I got!

I found out the hard way that 16X24X4 doesn't indicate size, it indicates filter class. Carrier uses a reduced size for all measurements and this filter fits perfectly. The height is 3 5/8 and fits perfectly as a 4" thick filter will not fit. The pleat count and MERV rating equals or exceeds the original filter installed in the unit at half the price.
