Flexible disc, conducts heat to hand, inaccurate

Benefits: Squeezes to pour liquids without spilling, withstands heat, cleans up after liquids easily. Cons: The 1 mark on the mug is actually 9 ounces of liquid instead of 8. I wanted it to carry boiled water from the kitchen to the bathroom, but it gets too hot to handle. It's pretty flexible, not the kind of mug you can confidently carry around. Unlike glass tumblers, fine dry ingredients stick to the cup. I also have the OXO silicone set which is perfect. But I wanted a differentiated cup…

Pros
  • Holds 1 cup/8 ounces
Cons
  • Nothing

does its job in gauges and scales

I use a beaker to measure out the water and flour when baking. It's not as accurate as the scaling, but for now it works until I get the scaling. good price too. I use cups for flour and ML for water. There's also Pint and ML, which I never use. The material is rubber. It changes shape when you try to squeeze it. So for the measurement you don't want to compress. I hand wash right after each bake. I'm not sure if he likes washing machines, I wouldn't. It seems too delicate and easy to hand wash

  • Smooth inner surface for easy pouring without spills; Textured outside for extra grip.

Nice silicone measuring cup

Because it's silicone, it can withstand a wide range of temperatures. The label rates it for use in the -40 to +450 Fahrenheit range. So if you hit it on something hot it probably won't melt. It's moderately flexible so you can easily squeeze it to pour into a small hole or similar. However, it's ribbed enough to keep most things secure. It has milliliter, pint, and fractional cup markings, but no ounce markings. A detail that is not noticeable in the picture is that when viewed from above they

Pros
  • Strong and flexible; Squeeze the sides to form a spout for precise pouring.
Cons
  • It pisses me off

1 cup no. = 250 ml

I bought this item and 2 cup size thanks to eliner's amazing pictures. These cups are more suitable for metric measurements. My conversion chart shows that 1 cup = 237ml. For Norpro mugs 1 cup = 250ml. This is why several people have mentioned how inaccurate mugs are. If you use the metric system then these mugs are for you. I also have the iSi 1-Cup silicone measuring cup. iSi Basics 1-Cup Flex-it mug I compared the Norpro 1-Cup mug with iSi and recommended the iSi brand. Another thing I love…

Pros
  • Made of silicone; heat resistant up to 465F/240C.
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish
