Norpro 347 Cheese Marker 7 Piece Review

I bought these as a wedding gift and the packaging was dusty inside. There were two markers in the pack, they looked like I bought them at the dollar store. I saved them and they write normally, they just look a bit cheap :(

These adorable cheese markers have really spiced up my cheese board. They are easy to write on and erase if you make a mistake. Simple soap and water will clean them. I highly recommend it to those who want people to say 'Nice touch'!

I ordered 2 sets to use as part of the party supplies and they were fantastic on the charcuterie. I wish the tips were sharper as it was difficult to get them to stay in some cheeses. But they did their job. The top (where you write) is heavy so they don't handle light cheeses well and end up tipping over.

More information than criticism of the product. With some types of cheese, cheese markers can cause the block of cheese to break when inserted. As you would expect, this usually happens with drier/harder cheeses. The marker does not wash off with water - you will need soap and a rag/sponge to remove it. The tip of the gold marker is slightly thicker than these cheese markers. But still does its job.

I got it as a gift for my mother-in-law. She really liked them but didn't understand the concept of dry erase markers. When the lousy marker that came with it died, she used a permanent marker thinking it was the same thing. The good thing is that she usually sticks to the same cheeses. The included marker is not good, if you give it away, take dry erase markers. The flags are very beautiful, she was very happy.

I love love love these! They were easy to write on, easy to clean and looked amazing! I used them for a Thanksgiving cheese and cracker tray and got so many compliments. This is a high quality (weighted) product. I also cook and cater for events so I think I'll use them to refer to desserts or appetizers. That way, guests don't have to ask. If I could ask the manufacturer to change one thing it would be that they come in a set of 8 instead of 6. I think I'll just have to buy another set.
