Norpro 9-Piece Cupcake Injector and Decorating Icing Set Review

I love this injector. I love baking, but I'm not a creative decorator. I've tried many cupcake and cookie decorating tools and finally found one that makes my creations look really pretty!

I really enjoyed using this. First one I've ever tried and my daughter was impressed with her beautiful cake! Much easier than an old piping bag! It's easier to control the flow of glaze and stop it when needed. Practice creates masters!

If you bake a cake every now and then this might be perfect! I bake cakes maybe 5 times a year, but when I do I love to decorate. I have many other kitchen gadgets and I don't want one cupcake decorating kit to take up my place in the kitchen. I have small hands and this is the perfect size for me. I have to fill it a few times to decorate the whole cake, but the filling is very easy, so I don't mind.

I've used it twice, it's really easy to use. Lots of complaints about the size, it's small, I've used it to fill homemade donuts, and it holds about 6 donuts, I don't mind filling halfway, but if I were to do a lot I'd probably be annoyed. The only complaint is that the jelly seeps through the part that pushes it out and is lost. I'm sure the frosting would seep through a lot of space as well. It would be nice if it were denser, but I'm just a house baker and I can live with that.

I saw a recipe for air fryer jelly donuts with buttermilk biscuits. I was dying to cook them even though I expected them to taste terrible. I needed something to stuff my cookies with, and since I rarely bake as I can't control myself when I have junk food around the house, I just wanted something cheap to accomplish my goal. For the price it's ok for decorating and applying thin glaze. However, many things could have been better. The outside diameter of the piston is only slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the cylinder, allowing about 15% of the frost to seep past the piston. With a slight flare and a slightly larger OD than the ID of the barrel, this might even be better than a "professional" stainless steel set as the barrel is transparent and easy to mark at the desired pitch.
