Disappointing in use!

I have had a bean cutter for many years; It was strong and heavy enough to stay in place when attached to a counter or tabletop. This one doesn't stay clamped, so you'll spend more time setting it up than actually handling the beans. The "legs" of the clamp are too short to provide a good grip on most table/counter edges. Choose an edge of the surface that you do not mind damaging as the clip surface may scratch or scuff. Attaching it to a portable cutting board and then pressing the board down

Cons
  • It's fine

Lightweight but very useful

Before purchasing I read a lot of 1 and 5 star comments to get an idea of the common criticisms and found a few correct ones, but here's the thing that this is NOT a professional instrument, it is a relatively well made but very light instrument. When unpacking, I noticed that not all components were firmly screwed together. A few twists with a screwdriver fixed it quickly. As mentioned in other reviews, the jaws would be better if they opened wider/deeper and the clamping screw could be…

Pros
  • Cuts multiple beans at once
