I bought this because Laura Vitale showed caliber.

I bought this because Laura Vitale showed a video of how to cut ravioli with this variety. This review isn't about this particular product, it's about the design. I think this thing is slowing down the process. When I press down on the dough with the included white mold, the dough becomes elastic so it bounces and just about exits the mold. I've had many leak problems leaving broken ravioli. I don't think it allows for that much padding. Then I can never make a pasta dough large enough to fill…

Save money for large families

I immediately saved money. With a large family, it costs nearly $12 to get enough frozen ravioli to feed us, and everyone always asks if there's more. The recipe (3 cups flour and 3 eggs plus oil and water) paid for itself the first time. I will be making this for freezing and eating whenever we want for a fraction of the price. I didn't splash on the tray and used the pasta maker on setting 6. I had a few small cracks but I patched them with pieces of dough and some egg mixture. I didn't have…

Easy to use. Works as advertised if you follow instructions to avoid overflowing. However, if the pasta sheet is too thick, the rolling pin will not cut all the way through the ravioli and they will have a hard time sticking to the pan. Then you will crush the rabbis and try to get them out. Also, a very light layer of sprayed oil will help remove them by tapping the mold firmly on the countertop. However, with a fairly thin pasta dough and filling the cavities ONLY AT THE TOP OF THE MOLD, the…

The perfect press and maker!

I bought this ravioli press just a few days ago for Mother's Day. It worked because it was a Prime product and it arrived just in time for my slow moving family. The machine itself is the perfect size and can hold more than enough ravioli filling. The press is great in that it easily and completely cuts through the pasta. Other ravioli makers I've tried only partially cut the pasta, resulting in some pieces being torn or not looking quite right. I didn't have this problem with this ravioli…

Very easy, great product

Incredibly delicious ravioli made. Very easy. I used the Imperia pasta machine, very handy. I had to make the bottom number 2 thick so it doesn't tear when stuffed. Using a rolling pin, cut out the ravioli and literally drop them into the boiling water. Less than a minute and you're eating the best ravioli! I have an idea for seafood and cheese ravioli, make meat ravioli (mixed beef with Italian sausage, egg, spices, some breadcrumbs, basically a recipe for meatballs). If you don't have a pasta

Works very well! suitable for kitchen and dining room

If you have or plan to buy a pasta maker, this is a must have. I've had mine for a few weeks now and I've made ravioli with cheese and spinach which was amazing! The application is very simple: I rolled out strips of pasta, cut them into 4 x 12 inch rectangles using a plastic ruler and a pizza cutter, stacked them on top of each other and dusted them with some rice flour to stop them from sticking together. Simply place a piece of pasta on the metal base, press down on the dough with your…

Efficient, simple, worth buying

Received the ravioli attachment the other day and used it for the first time today to make 90-100 ravioli. I've been making homemade pasta, ravioli, tortellini etc for a number of years now and I've got a process. This little guy has definitely made ravioli making a lot easier. Well if you're looking for those homemade non-industrial looking ravioli. it's not a good choice. This mold produces smooth, consistent ravioli every time IF you use it correctly. The important things first. Use COOKING…
