Light and simply good for the kitchen and dining room

Bought because my sister cut up too many tomatoes or strawberries to remove the stalk. It's an easy way to get what you want and no more. It is very sharp and the handle is thick enough to hold comfortably. No more food waste.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Exchange possible

Handy little gadget and sharp!

I use this tool to stem strawberries and tomatoes. This product is so effective that it only requires a quick flick of the wrist. The one I had and lost years ago had a slightly smaller head so there was less waste but I've had it for years and hope to get the same durability with this product, definitely good value.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Better for strawberries than tomatoes

I find this more practical for peeling strawberries. The teeth are not pointed straight ahead (towards the tomato) but slightly outwards. I find this a very useful strawberry tool. Once you become familiar with them, it will go very quickly. But the skin of tomatoes resists the bite, especially if the skin is not entirely fresh. I was a bit disappointed when I received it and the price sticker was right on the product and didn't peel off. So first I had to use Goo Be Gone to remove the sticky…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Surprisingly helpful! Time saving and SECURITY.

Many tomatoes were processed during the gardening season. In this situation, using a sharp tomato core knife means constantly putting the knife to one side: cutting out the core. Set the knife aside (so as not to cut yourself) while you remove the skin from the blanched tomato. take the knife Quarter the tomato. Repeat again and again. Although I believe you can get a nick with a pith tool if you're not careful, the risk is much less than with a tomato knife. And the process is much faster…

Pros
  • Simple setting
Cons
  • Frequency

Less suitable for strawberries than the original design, 3.5 stars

My wife has had one of these for years and uses it regularly to grow strawberries. This was bought as a present for my daughter in law. While the overall design and appearance haven't changed, the details have. The current plastic molding is a little less sharp and the red button is a little duller - so none of the hallmarks of the effect can be ignored. The thickness (strength) of the metal appears to be sufficient to withstand the removal of stems from strawberries, although use on tomatoes…
