They were pretty easy to put on. Just a sticker. I've put them on both my 5ft 10" shortboard (1 pack) and my 7ft funboard (2 packs). Looks good. I could only get in the water with my pleasure board, but I had no problems with slipping. I was in a full suit with booties. Hands never slipped on the pop-up. Unfortunately, this product does not offer the necessary grip on the water, which is why I downgraded the rating to 1 star. This is a hit because I paid for 2 sets and spent $120. Without a doubt this is an innovative product for the SUP market. I think it's a little less than a 4 star hotel but close enough. Decal traction alone isn't enough, it still needs top wax to provide a grip you're comfortable enough with to surf. The decals alone are so wide you'll feel like your feet will slip when carving a deep twist on the bottom of a shaft or upper lip. Would have been a great 5 star product if it was a little tackier. I've added clear hex traction to my new longboard, along with cork hex traction for the midboard and tail. The combination of cork and hexatraction is good and works surprisingly well in waves up to 6ft and maintains control on bottom turns. I was on 4-6 foot waves and everything worked fine (I had no problem staying on the board). I bought this for a Waldner Mini Mega Magic 7'6 transporting in a compact sedan becomes. I first tried the foam surface used on SUP boards but it was absolutely horrible for my hands. I had high hopes for this product when I first heard about it. I liked the prospect of not having to worry about wax melting in the sun or spilling wax everywhere. The HexaTraction design also helps give the board a cool look. I was hoping to test the durability of the decals to see if the price is worth the premium over wax.
