    Expensive but worth it

    We live in the forest and I have a big family. I try to buy play shoes that will last a long time and can even be passed on to younger kids. I'm cheap too, which sometimes causes problems haha. This is my third purchase of these walking shoes so I can safely say that if you are looking for a product that will last, they are worth the money. Other cheaper hiking shoes in the $30 range tend to have poor toe traction, but these soles have not come apart at the toe or sides in a year of constant…

    Disappointed - ruptured after 2 months

    I know my boys are pretty rough on their shoes but I really thought this one would last. It broke after 2 months. My son doesn't wear regular wellies so I was happy to get some waterproof boots. Luckily they worked during the rainy season but now it won't be waterproof! It's a shame because it wasn't cheap. They will continue to work on campaigns but they are not happy that there is a gap in just 2 months.

    Perfect fit and waterproof.

    Ideal for camping. They stay dry on the inside unlike other popular brands I've bought for my other daughters. They are a bit chunky and clunky but that doesn't bother my 6 year old. Excellent value for money and quality. Highly recommended.

    Good quality and comfortable fit.

    Bought these for my 9 year old. They are durable and comfortable for him. We don't do a lot of long hikes, but it gets plenty of traction for romping in the woods or climbing a steep embankment. It's a bit difficult for him to lace up unaided, but I think that's true of all lace-up hiking boots at his age. In general I am very satisfied with the quality.

    Run a small new check

    My son is very happy with them but they are small. He has a pair of size 5 Nikes that fit him, but size 5 shoes are too small for him. I came back for 6 and there is enough room for thick socks. There is no room for growth.

    Great quality, perfect for growing babies

    I've been hiking in Colorado all week and my kid has never complained about the comfort. They love the look, they can be used as unisex and they are a great price.

    My son wears a size 7 sneakers. This boot fit him and looked great, but it didn't have room for thicker socks. Had to go back as there is no larger sizing option (it's maxed out for child sizing - needs to update to adult sizing)

    Great kids hiking shoes!

    We loved them so much we bought a second pair after our 5 year old outgrew the first pair. They are true to size, very durable and good quality and our child says they are comfortable.

    THE LATEST STRONG BOOTS

    PERFECT SHOES/BOOTS FOR MY GRANDSON! He has loved her for 3 years. Grows out of them before they wear out so they can be gifted new and still look new.

    Convenient and easy to hack

    My picky 9 year old son loves them. He says they're comfortable and his ankles feel supported when he's out in the redwoods after high school camp. He is very sensitive to certain clothes and shoes, but they were great once he put them on. Hooray!

    Good boots - would definitely recommend them to a friend

    I ordered a pair at the last minute for my daughter to take on a hike. There was no break-in period and they fit as expected. They work and hold up great. I would definitely recommend her.

    Good boots! good for me

    My boys are billy goat monkeys and eat through hiking boots. They're durable and will last all season (this is our second set since we refurbished that last year). Good grip, important for bouldering and loose gravel on steep slopes.

    Better than expected

    I'm older but I'm small. I usually wear children's sizes 2-3. I ordered 4 for extra arch support (very high arches) and to be able to wear thick socks. There's a lot of space, wider than I thought it would be and so warm! I'll spray them as others have suggested, put in the inserts and test them when I go camping soon.

    Great price and absolutely cool look for my 4 year old.

    Decent shoe for the money. More waterproof than Proof. The downpour eventually seeps in but does an excellent job of squirting water, dew etc. A good buy for a growing boy who won't have them again until the end of summer.

    Do not use in snow. Bought for my 12 year old. Old Fit is great. Use during the California rainy season. Didn't weatherproof in Yosemite snow. Boots were soaked from the inside.

    Great shoes but may run small

    These boots are excellent quality for this price. I have ordered another pair of Northside boots for my son to try on and these appear to be the best quality. He wore them every day for a month and so far so good. He's very picky about shoes so I'm glad they're still in good shape. I ordered a size 5 and 6 first as I wasn't sure which size would fit him.
