Description of ๐ŸŒž Enhanced UV Sensitivity Detection with the NOYITO VEML6070 Light Sensor

VEML6070 is an advanced ultraviolet (UV) light sensor with I2C protocol interface. It is easily operated via a simple I2C command. The active acknowledge (ACK) feature with threshold windows setting allows the UV sensor to send out a UVI alert message. Under a strong solar UVI condition, the smart ACK signal can be easily implemented by the software programming. VEML6070 incorporates a photodiode, amplifiers, and analog/digital circuits into a single chip. VEML6070 provides the best spectral sensitivity to cover UV spectrum sensing. It has an excellent temperature compensation and a robust refresh rate setting that does not use an external RC low pass filter. VEML6070 has linear sensitivity to solar UV light and is easily adjusted by an external resistor. Software shutdown mode is provided, which reduces power consumption to be less than 1uA. VEML6070's operating voltage ranges from 2.7V to 5.5V. Integrated modules: ultraviolet sensor (UV), and signal conditioning IC, Excellent UV sensitivity and linearity, convert solar UV light intensity to digital data, Excellent performance of UV radiation measurement under long time solar UV exposure, Excellent temperature compensation, High dynamic detection resolution.

Effective UV Detector for Your Electronics Projects

This motion detector accurately senses the slightest changes and is perfect for electronic projects. Its high sensitivity means that even the slightest motion in its vicinity will be registered. The compact size is a significant advantage, making it easy to fit into tight spaces. However, the installation process can be a bit tricky for beginners. Overall, this is an effective and useful tool for electronics enthusiasts.

Pros
  • Highly sensitive UV detection
Cons
  • Requires additional components for operation

Seller cheated buyer

I specifically asked about wavelength sensitivity. I was hoping the seller would provide accurate information but wrong. After receiving the sensor I started searching the I2C communication protocols that this sensor requires and found the specification for the sensor being used. To my dismay, I found that the wavelength to which this device reacts is NOT in the UVC range, but in the UVB range, i.e. > 300nm. Well, as they say, fool me once. .

Pros
  • Integrated modules: Ultraviolet (UV) sensor and signal conditioning chip, Excellent sensitivity and linearity to UV radiation, Conversion of solar UV radiation intensity to digital data, Excellent UV measurement performance in long-term solar UV exposure, Excellent temperature compensation , high dynamic detection resolution.
