I bought this to replace the fan slider that comes with the Monoprice UItimate. I had to do some soldering, nothing complicated which consisted of soldering the wires to the serial connector wires. I used this to replace the stock fan on my Creality Ender 3 because the original fan died and the fan blades hit the case. This fan pushes a lot of air - much more than a standard fan. So in that respect he's good. However, it is noisy. High pitched screeching, very annoying when you are in the same room, LOUD. I purchased this product because my Ender 3's stock fan became very noisy after a week or two of normal use. I installed this fan using the same power connectors as the standard fan and it worked fantastic! This is not just a replacement fan, it is an upgrade to the one that came with the Ender 3.
