I needed about 10 feet of wire for an electric train project and this wire worked great. I paid about six hundred and fifty with free shipping. It's a little pricey for 25 feet of wire. If you use a lot of cable, look for Coleman cables, where you get four times the amount of cable for about double the price. If you are working on a small project that requires 18 AWG wire, this is a good choice. The wire is also available in a wide range of colors.

Quality connection cable. It has a thin transparent polymer coating over the insulation. I used it to reassemble a very large outdoor lantern (about 4ft tall) with a couple of candlesticks. This wire was easy to pull through narrow pipes, but it required a lot of disassembly to make sharp pipe joints. Even with four 60-watt (240-watt) lightbulbs, that 18-gauge wire is more than enough to handle that much power. When using new LED bulbs, the boost will be significantly less. So it's worth going…

The product image is misleading. The spool you will receive is just over an inch, not 3-5 inches like the spool in the picture. The wire has a glossy black finish, not a matte finish. Overall I am happy with my purchase. A few things that could make this product even better. fundamental right. $5.00 shipping definitely adds up. Especially for sending something so tiny.
