Description of πŸ‘ Organic Merino Wool Nursing Pads - Original Style, Medium Size, 7 inch Diameter: A Gentle and Soft Solution

Soothingly soft nursing pads made with KbT-certified organic merino wool, designed by Danish nurse. Style ORIGINAL contains 2 layers knitted wool. Many find them more comfortable than disposables or cotton - wool absorbs moisture, keeping skin dry, and breathes, to maintain comfortable temperature in warmth or cold. Available in a variety of sizes and styles to suit each woman's needs. Most women need only 2-3 pairs for entire nursing period. Wool's natural lanolin content provides self-cleansing properties, allowing for extended use without washing. Wash, on average (depending on amount of leaking), every 2 weeks with lanolin-replenishing woolwash to maintain hygienic effects. LANACare's lanolin-replenishing soap contains 7.5% lanolin, higher than most other woolwashes. Medium, 7 inch diameter. Cup size DD+ to F or larger. (Alert - these are much larger than women anticipate. Please measure and see photo for size comparison to disposable before ordering). Sold as set of 2 pads - one pair. (Take note - these are larger than most women expect! Cup size is a guideline - please choose size based on measurements.) If uncertain, choose XS or Small. Larger than disposables, the edge falls further back to make pads less noticeable through clothing. Style ORIGINAL - 2 layers knitted organic merino wool, for light/mod leaking. Recommended style for women with open sores. Available in 3 sizes. Style Softline sufficient for most women's needs. Style Ekstra for heavier leaking. Women find these helpful with any soreness associated with breastfeeding, plugged ducts, vasospasms. Designed by Danish nurse. Imported by lactation consultant.

Saved my mind! suitable for nursing pads

Wool nursing pads were recommended to me due to some breastfeeding problems. I suffered from vasospasm/Raynaud and it hurt to sleep or even be near our fridge. These pads have worked wonders by keeping me warm enough to relieve the pain. I wore them practically 24/7. The large shape is also great as it is not visible through clothing unlike typical nursing pads. My only complaints are that it requires a special soap to clean and that it is a hand wash/dry process. It's not desirable for a new…

Works great!: Nursing pads

First, these nursing pads work very well. I've tried disposables from Lansinoh and J&J, and laundry detergent from UnderKanppies and Bamboobies. Disposables stuck to my nipples and other cleaning products trap too much moisture on my nipples, making them itchy. Also, it was really difficult to always wash nursing pads and I didn't want to invest in 10 pairs just in case. They don't need to be washed, just once in a long time. I've had mine for almost a month now and still haven't washed them…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • There are nuances

LOVE THESE - don't settle for the cheaper ones!

Although they seem expensive I decided to try them when I was struggling with vasospasm. There were rumors that her warmth was supposed to help - and it did - but then I fell in love with her for other reasons. 1) they're very soft - you don't think it's going to be wool - but they are 2) they actually hide better under clothes - this is counterintuitive because these things are HUGE - but because they're huge, they lie better - warning - they also make you look taller as they are a bit thicker

Pros
  • Acceptable

  • Having trouble

Amazing customer service!

Bought a pair in an extra small size. For reference, I have a capital B, a small C (when it swells). I'm very frustrated and after reading the reviews I figured Ekstra would be the obvious way to go. When I received the pads I was shocked at how big they are! I was sure I would have to trade them in for an XS but to my surprise once I put them on they fit perfectly. While feeding my son, I was severely let down and the pad on the other breast got wet and leaked (not the whole pad, just the…

I prefer Extra style

I tried Extra style first and I definitely prefer Extra for me. It leaks minimally during the day, but quite a bit at night and excessively during the decline! These original pads are too thin to contain nighttime leaks and milk secretions, and too thin to contain even minimal daytime leaks. Even ordinary cotton pads retain the milk better. However, Ekstra pads do a really good job of treating leaks any time of the day or night and are *almost* enough to eliminate breastfeeds unless I'm in bed.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No result
