Attention, the recipe has been changed

You have changed the recipe of the previously used green-brown bag with useful utensils. Our dog really liked this formula. But after switching late last year or early 2021, he got sick and can't eat. Nutro bought the bag back and told me they exchanged it. Respectful company behind their products. I found the old formula at my local TSC store and bought their last 2 packs of the old formula. Our dogs are fine now. Don't know what we'll do when it's gone?

Not what it used to be

Once upon a time, quality dog food was no better than cheaper products. I have been using this feed for many years. During the pandemic, they swapped bag #17 of high-quality food for bag #15 of lower-quality food. My dogs eat it but it has so much filler that they keep pooping. The food was good about 2 years ago but it has changed and is literally filled with fillers. Dogs will eat it, but at this point it's probably no better than cheaper brands. I don't even know how to get them to work…

Do not buy nutritious dog food.

This food made my dog very sick. Last year the dog was taken to the vet for diarrhea and vomiting. The vet bill ran into thousands of dollars with no definitive diagnosis. He even attended the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School. He was put on a diet of skinless chicken breasts, sweet potatoes and rice. He blossomed. We then tried to reintroduce Nutro for a smaller stool. He immediately started throwing up. Then he had diarrhea. A search on the internet will reveal numerous consumer…

This meal contains chicken meal!

Very disappointed with this product. I accidentally bought it. I usually buy dog food with Nutro Limited ingredients. My German Shepherd has a chicken allergy. Luckily I found that it looks different than our usual food that we buy before giving it to her. The packaging might say "no chicken by-product," but the second ingredient is chicken meal, and that makes a world of difference for my dog. I think this is very misleading! Also, I tried feeding it to my other two puppies who have no…

New design = low quality new formula

I have 2 dogs, one is 3.5 years old and the other about a year old. I have always loved Nutro and trusted their products for my pets. My older dog has been on this food for a year and I have just tried to gradually transition my puppy from Fromm's Puppy Gold to this product. Both dogs are currently having diarrhea since I opened this new white Nutro packet. The puppy also vomits. This listing on Revain states that only the packaging has changed, but the pellets themselves are lighter in color…

New formula. good for food

Inside buy a long time. I've always trusted their brand and felt good about the ingredients used. However, they've recently swapped places, and we've noticed a few differences. First, the bag looks different, which of course doesn't matter. Second, food of a different color. It looks much lighter, almost light brown where it used to be brown. After all, the food itself seems much lighter. Like I said, we've bought a lot of bags in the past and this bag was a bit bigger considering it still…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Has been damaged

New product is terrible

We have been feeding our dog lamb and rice for several years now. When the new white bag was delivered, we immediately noticed that the delivery box had become lighter. When we opened the box we found that the new white pouch contained 20% less dog food (just 12lbs instead of 15lbs). More importantly, the dog food in the new white bag made our dog nauseous. Within a day of eating the new food, our dog became lethargic, didn't eat or drink and just lay down at our feet. Normally she is very…

2. INGREDIENT - CHICKENS! THERE'S MORE CHICKENS THAN RICE

My friend who used to work at Nutro recommended this pellet for my 27 lb terrier mix because she had a skin allergy related to chicken. He said this recipe was specifically designed for dogs with grain/chicken allergies. It worked! I gave it to her and the rash went away. But now Mars, Inc. bought Nutro and made major changes to this product to make it more profitable for itself. Namely, they added chicken meal as the second most important ingredient in this feed. This dog food has more chicken
