Nyrius Aries Pro+ WiFi HDMI Video Transmitter & Receiver for Streaming 1080p Video up to 165ft from Laptop, PC, Cable Box, Game Console, DSLR Camera to a TV, Projector, or Boardroom Screen (NPCS650) Review

This is the second Nyrius product I have and Aries Pro+ which has overheated and nearly started a fire in my house. This transmitter also turns off within 15 feet of each other for some reason. I'm still trying to figure out which is better. When it works it's great, but unfortunately unreliable for me personally. Great idea and price if it was reliable.

Adapter is too thick to fit PS4 HDMI slot, same issue on some PCs and other devices, separate HDMI extension required. I've tried using it through a wall of an apartment 10ft away and it won't stay connected. Overall I was disappointed but zero latency is true and accurate, it just needs line of sight for a good connection.

Having been using the Nyrius Aries Pro+ Wireless HDMI for a little over a month we are looking for a different solution. It overheats, causing it to stall. Connected quickly and easily. The picture quality is very good. There is almost no lag - quite observable. Visibility is good. Placing a person in a chair within 12 feet of the transmitter and receiver may cause interference in the form of random, instantaneous signal drops. Overall my big disappointment is that it gets hot and goes away…

It's great! We set up a projector desktop for movies and games. It's great, but it involves a lot of cables that are driving me nuts. My partner didn't want to try any wireless accessories due to the risk of disconnection, lag, etc. We bought this along with some wireless controllers; it works like a dream! Trying to connect PC to HDTV over 1080P. It worked for a while - about a week, then the transmitter began to repeat connecting and disconnecting to the PC. The PC kept trying to adjust the display when the channel was disconnected and reconnected - almost every minute and this rendered both the PC and the TV unusable. Tried source and display (laptop and monitor) and same problem. When I lowered the signal level (from 1080p to 720p) it worked for a while (about an hour) without any problems…

I ran some tests on this unit. I connected my laptop (via USB/HDMI) and the transmitter. At the other end was a simple 27 inch monitor with a receiver/USB power supply. The results were stunning. Setup was very easy, I literally turn them on and they pair themselves in 1080P. I tested streaming the show from my laptop. and gradually began to leave the room with the monitor in a clean place. I was able to move about 120 feet from the receiver before the signal dropped. That was more than enough…
