Returned. There are no problems with the heating.

I recently bought a new filter with heater compartment. I didn't know it came with a heater so I'm returning this purchase. Returns and refunds were quick and easy.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Broke after 12-14 months of use

Worked well for just over a year (first purchased Jan 2019). Broke within a few months due to a loud click and inability to heat the 10g tank to 22 degrees Celsius. Now I'm going to buy another one because I have an Oase filtosmart thermo 100 canister.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Temperature variation 4*F. No thanks.

I was stranded and needed a new heater so I put one of these in my LFS and the difference between turning the heater on and off was 4*F. I pulled it out and replaced it with asap an Eheim Jager as Smog. I will continue to use it as a flow heater, but I will no longer expose the animals to these extreme temperature fluctuations.
