Complete and easy to use

Complete kit includes all Emory fabrics, solder, rosin, a brush for reinstalling or replacing copper tubing or the Replacing valves, a tank for hot water At home, all you need is an inexpensive propane gas lamp. It's easy to use and can save you a large plumbing bill.

Pros
  • Copper, bismuth, tin and silver solder provides a low melting point
Cons
  • Socket required

Enough to get you started

Looks like a good starter kit. A few YouTube videos and 30 feet of copper tubing later I was ready for more soldering. The only criticism would be that it needs a bit more sandpaper and the acid brush keeps losing hairs. I'm always scared that one of them will hit the joint, but that hasn't happened yet.

Pros
  • Flux brush is 5" long and 1/2" wide
Cons
  • So far so good

A good set for those who are just starting out in soldering.

A good set if you don't have to do a lot of soldering. I've soldered about 8-1/2" joints and about 3-3/4" joints, and I have plenty of solder and flux left over for further work in the future. I didn't even put a dent in the flux. A lot of fluff remains. There would be more solder if I soldered better. I used too much and it ended up dripping. A nice little set that I would recommend to any beginner.

Pros
  • An alloy of copper, bismuth, tin and silver
Cons
  • Can't remember
