Alright. curves too much. Don't stay strong! We have a bunk bed for our daughter. A hit. And it was on a bed with sheets and blankets. Too much risk for bedding, but great light for projects. Super bright. Just not around the bed or bedding.

It's bright, even when dimmed as far as the rheostat allows. Reason for 4 stars. To better direct the light to my book and not disturb my wife, I created a shadow that works well. The lampshade is a piece of 3" aluminum arch and painted black, see attached photos. I lined the end that slides onto the light with a smooth piece of 1 inch velcro that makes it easy to slide over the lantern. It's still bright, but the light is mostly focused on the book.

I'm reluctant to give this product two stars but as I bought this as a reading lamp to attach to my headboard I have to. Due to the weak rigidity of the gooseneck, this product will not hold up for this purpose (it just folds down) and is therefore not suitable for any of the purposes mentioned. It gives off good light so if you want to mount it on a flat surface like a tray table it will work for you.

I RECENTLY MOVED TO A NEW APARTMENT WHICH HAS THESE TERRIBLE CEILING LIGHTS IN THE KITCHEN. I KNEW SOMETHING I HAD TO DO AND I ORDERED TWO OF THESE o'bRIGHT CLIP ON LIGHTS. I ATTACHED THEM TO TWO DIFFERENT CLOSET DOORS AND THEY ARE PERFECT FOR THE PURPOSE! THE "GOOSENECK” FUNCTION WAS VERY CONVENIENT AND I CAN CONTROL IT WHEN I NEED MORE LIGHT IN A SPECIFIC AREA. This is a lamp, it does the same thing as a flexible lamp. I put it on and off we go. It only gets 3 stars because it gets weirdly hot. Don't let burns get hot on you, but weird, yeah, let's not leave it on, kinda hot.
