When I poured it there was almost no residue left and I love the look of this living sand. My perimeters have been working great after using this and reef salt for my water mix. Recommend!

I thought it would contain some seawater that contains bacteria. It comes dry. It might contain some bacteria, but with dry sand I'm not sure what can really survive in an airtight bag. Although the sand is of good quality. I have used 3 bags in my aquarium and love it. Very good. It takes a few days to remove the finer dust particles, but after that it does the job.
