Works as expected on spares

As others have said they are a bit longer than the ones I took off. Tip: Remove both sides, then install the bottom part first and press the middle of the trunk to insert the other side. Spacers keep the trunk slightly open and in place.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • So so

A simple solution at a low price.

Excellent replacement shock absorbers. Before I installed them, my husband was sleeping on the couch from nearly injuring my arms with those old, worn out shock absorbers on our trunk. In less than 5 minutes, the installation got him out of the kennel and turned him into a versatile professional.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Disappear

More difficult to install than I expected

They were almost too long to install. I had to get creative and use a small pry bar and hammer to hammer them in place. If they were about the thickness of a pencil lead shorter, they would be very easy to install. However, they work great. It's nice that the trunk stays open and doesn't slam too much.

Pros
  • Large selection of boring
Cons
  • packaging

Press firmly on the trunk lid until it fits.

I managed to install this on my 2015 Q50. As a previous reviewer said, they are about 3-4mm longer than the originals. I had to press down on the trunk lid with some force to force the top (set the bottom first for this to work). The trunk lid now works great, easier to lift and no longer bangs.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • factor set

They are too long! They are approx. 4 mm longer than the original parts. I've replaced many of these designs in various cars, but I've only spent 30 minutes squeezing them, tapping them, and opening the trunk more. DOES NOT FIT! Are you trying to get a refund and have you noticed that the seller charges a return shipping fee? despite wrong specification! I finally asked my friend to help me push the tailgate with a lot of force and I used both hands to pull the trout to fit it. Too much work…

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive

Works well and easy to install

Just what my 2015 Q50 Hybrid needs. It cost me less than $20 to ship the racks and they took about 15 minutes to install. The only tool required is a screwdriver. As others have noted, they are a bit longer than the originals, but I read reviews and watched YouTube videos so I knew how to use them. In short, park your car on a level surface or drive down a slope so the cover doesn't fall off when you remove both old covers. Remove both old upper tubes, attach the lower ends of the two new upper

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things
