Amazing motherboard quality

I bought this product to replace my outdated Raspberry Pi 2. I finally settled on this after looking at many different single board computer options. The Odroid N2 has a faster processor than most other single board computers and has 4 GB of DDR4 RAM. I currently use it for a range of tasks from hosting a Minecraft server to offline web scraping and data collection. I'm running a Debian-based operating system on it with a kernel that I've cross-compiled from the latest HardKernel Ubuntu kernel.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • So far so good

RPI-GPIO-Odroid works

When I bought this I couldn't find any information if it would work with Python rpi-gpio. it uses rpi-gpio-odroid. just like other odroid sbcs. It actually works with N2.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Nothing here

Waste of money

First off, this thing costs about $50 less than Odroid. Second, don't buy it anyway because it's a complete piece of junk. Just buy a pi4 and you will be much happier. You can only run Odroid's Ubuntu special edition on it, and it's either a minimal/server or full desktop. It's almost impossible to update the basics with a window manager because Odroid cripples Ubuntu so much. I really regret not buying it and bought two pi4s instead. Don't waste your money, it's not worth it. Yes, it's a bit…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Annoying

Great board to build your own media center.

using a CoreELEC image with a card. An asynchronous USB 2.0 audio device is connected to this. Now I have high quality stereo not only in music but in all movies.

Pros
  • looking forward to it
Cons
  • boring packaging

great video and fast!

This unit is hard to beat as a modern audio/video player. I'm getting great performance with CoreElec, both audio and video are top notch - I can see what my TV is capable of for the first time in a year!

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Other Other

It's a big step up from Raspberry Pi 4

I really like my Raspberry Pi 4 but this computer is much more powerful. If it has one weakness compared to the Pi, it's support. The Pi has a much larger support community. Since N2 is so powerful, I hope the community will continue to grow.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • old
