🎶 Optimized Odyssey KCC4PR2BL Turntable Cartridge Review

This is exactly what I needed. The previous ones I bought didn't fit my needles. My orthophone fits perfectly in the pocket.

Securely holds cases with aligned cartridge bodies. A little little space, but with careful care there is no risk of damage to the pen.

So it's all about solidity. He's very handsome and looks like he could take a beating. Also, the plastic part that holds the cart feels solid and holds the cart in place. The only problem is that the bottom foam is attached inside the case with a very weak adhesive. That would be fine except the plastic piece holding the carriage is attached to the foam. So when the foam comes off, your carts start moving and the needle can start hitting things. I could probably just glue the foam to the bottom

The first problem is that the "receiver" is too tight. The outer diameter of the shell body is 8mm, but the inner diameter of the bushing is too small - I measure 7.8mm with vernier calipers. The workaround is to take a large flathead screwdriver, insert it into the slot between the two sides, and then twist it to pry the two sides apart. This requires 2 hands and some skill.
