Great quality, poor fit.

This specific towbar for Jeep JL is well designed and has great workmanship. I have 2 of these installed on 2 different Jeep JLs. Fits too loosely on Jeep frame. The hitch needs to be bolted down before this thing is even remotely secure. This appears to be a serious design flaw. I don't understand why the tolerances are so wide? I'm talking about a quarter inch. Also, the 2 inch receiver hole feels too big. When you plug a hitch into this receiver, there's a lot of slop. Tons of sides for side

Great price - great clutch - difficult to install.

Received my hitch tonight - apart from figuring out how to fit washers and nuts - installation was easy. After I ordered I found out that other hitches have nuts welded onto the front of the hitch so it can be installed without removing the bumper. This hitch supplies washers and nylon nuts. I didn't want to remove the bumper to install it, so I took a hitch and attached washers and nuts to the front of the hitch with superglue. I just needed them to stay in place long enough for me to drive…

I liked it very much. And here's a tip!

Installed a few days ago. Love it! I don't intend to tow, but will fit some hitches. One of the complaints I've seen is that people say the more expensive ones have the nuts welded on. Now I can see how much easier the installation is BUT I just solved this problem by gluing the nuts in place and it made the installation a lot easier. Just don't do what I did and stick them on the wrong side. Looking at the guides, it turned out that the bolts went in from the clutch side, so I glued the nuts…

Great hook! - Leads

How can you go wrong for $35! Easy to install without removing anything. Start by turning all the bolts without putting the washers/nuts on. The bolts are a bit difficult to tighten due to their length as they catch in the muffler body. But just keep going and they will pass. Now I highly recommend applying a few drops of superglue to attach each washer to the nuts. You can then hold the nut/washer with needle nose pliers. Back off the bolt just enough to engage the nut, then thread the bolt…

Easy installation with minimal effort

Easy installation that took about 30 minutes. There are no instructions, so watch the YouTube video to install, it's very easy. I didn't have to remove or unscrew anything from the jeep. Tips to follow: When inserting the long screw, hold the hex head at the top of the muffler area, this will allow enough working room to align with the mounting holes. Use your fingers to spread them in a "V" shape, stick a washer and then a nut between your fingertips since the gap between the bumper and the…

Doesn't work well with a bike rack but probably comparable to an OEM hitch.

I bought this hitch for my 2019 Jeep Wrangler to use with a Yakima bike rack. Unfortunately, because the receiver isn't long enough (it ends about 2 inches past the back edge of my bumper), my Yakima bike rack can't be installed without removing the spare tire. When I installed it there was a quarter inch gap between the frame and the clutch plates. Because the instructions call for 80 lb-ft torque bolts, he bends the panels so there is no play. 80 lb-ft of torque is a lot - more than my torque

OUT THE DIRECTIONS!

Step 1: Throw away the instructions. Step 2: Remove the bracket held in place by 2 large screws and 2 small screws that go through the bumper into the bracket and forcefully pull the bracket out of the bumper (it's tricky but you can do it) . Step 3: Install the hitch by lining up the holes on the frame and inserting new bolts (with washers) and then additional washers and nuts (don't forget the harness plate on the other side of the rider). Step 4: Tighten the bolts using any combination of…
