This is a really enormous wrench

I accidentally transposed 1.265 inches (1 1/4", basically) to 1.625 inches (1 5/8") so bought this wrench by mistake. You can see in the photo how much bigger it is than the size I actually needed to change my table saw blade. But it seems nice. I'm going to keep it because it's enormous. Maybe I will buy a dump truck or school bus so I have something to use it on.

Pros
  • Feels like good quality and will last a lifetime
Cons
  • Not accurate measurement. You get what you pay for.

It's no snap-on but.

When you consider what a wrench like this is going to be used for, it is a great value for the money. Most of the time, I use it for holding the head of a bolt while I loosen or tighten the nut with a socket. The wrench is perfectly suited for what it is designed to do. I used it again last night to remove and install bolting on a gear box. I'm confident this wrench will last me the rest of my life if I don't lose it.

Pros
  • Very sturdy, works great
Cons
  • May be too big for some individuals with smaller hands to effectively use

Big, heavy, effective !

I had no idea what a serious wrench this is ! Big and sturdy. Bought it to open a large bolt on a heavy machine - makes it effortless !

Pros
  • Not as thick of metal as other brands or as high of quality but it totally gets the job done.
Cons
  • Loses effectiveness if applied to bolts or nuts smaller than 1-5/8 inches

Great unless you need the box end to be a 1 3/4's also

Open end of the wrench is a great 1 3/4 inch, however the box end is significantly larger (at least 1 7/8). Not sure if it's just a one-off design flaw or if it's cheap manufacturing tolerances but if you need this tool for the box end I'd pass.

Pros
  • good wrench
Cons
  • Terribly made in China.

Fits U-haul ball hitch nuts

I bought this to accommodate my purchase of a U-haul ball hitch. The U-haul ball hitches, both 2" and 1 7/8", have a 1 5/8" nut to secure the ball to the hitch. I observed that many of the other hitches by other companies are 1 1/2" nuts at the base of the ball. The price for this was good, and I keep this in my car to tighten the ball hitch if needed.

Pros
  • It's a big wrench! Just the size I needed. (Perhaps that is why I purchased it...)
Cons
  • Limited versatility as it is designed for only one specific bolt size

For Rogue Power Rack owners

If you have a Rogue power rack, this makes assembling and disassembling it so much easier. I move a lot and I bought two of these. Tearing down and building the power rack up has made it loads faster than using the uncomfortable and much smaller wrenches that rogue sells and ships with their products. These were totally worth the money to prevent hand cramps and long tightening sessions that I would spend. Just awesome!

Pros
  • Bought for use with my Hoffman brake lathe. Works great.
Cons
  • Bulky size may make it difficult to use in tight spaces

and its fine for that

I've seen nicer, but I got this just for a trailer hitch ball, and its fine for that. Fits well, plenty beefy for what I'm using it for - and I like those really tight.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • The weight of the wrench may cause fatigue during prolonged use
